Hi there!
I’m Toni, the human behind The Wired Salmon.
I am a ceramic artist based in Dunsborough, on the beautiful South West coast of Western Australia.
Working from my home studio, I create functional ceramics, statement jewellery and sculptural pieces using hand-building, slab-building and coiling techniques.
Drawn to texture and patterns, mark-making plays a central role in mywork and is a distinctive part of my process.
I am drawn to organic shapes and earthy surfaces, creating pieces with a strong sense of presence through form and surface detail.
I embrace the slow, thoughtful process of working with clay. Transforming a block of clay into a finished piece is more than just a craft, it is a grounding and therapeutic experience and a personal practice of slowing down, feeling the raw earth in my hands and reconnecting with a more mindful way of living
